It was well-received in Japan but is one of those titles that slipped through the cracks, and didn't receive an official English localization. Forever With You is an oldie but a goldie! Hatoful Boyfriend coming soon to the Vita. Hatoful boyfriend will be out soon, and there's the Hakuoki series. Oh yes, I have heard about Hatoful boyfriend Otome games are a lot more story focused. Male-focused dating sims tend to have story, but also have sex, which means they more or less don't make it to consoles.
I honestly can't think of a single non-otome true dating sim on the vita Japan has a few, but they're obviously not import friendly unless you read Japanese amazingly. Unfortunately, I am not so good with Japanese I was playing Seran Kagura a while back, but I dropped it because I got sick and tired of looking up translation for it I hope they make some dating sims for male audiences I googled 'Hatoful boyfriend vita' and this was the top response.
