It is well written and easy to read with such a common sense approach. Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. This book was comforting after leaving a toxic relationship. It reaffirms that as hard as it was and still is, the relationship was not good for me and causing me unnecessary stress. You need more than love to make a relationship work and even though I am not emotionally ready to get back into the dating scene, I have a clearer understanding of what I want and will settle for no less. Well written, to the point, and practical. The authors don't spend half the book telling you why they wrote the book - they get into the weeds right away. I thought this was a great book for people from 13 to It is hard to start dating again after a loss of a partner through death or divorce and I remember it was hard to start dating when you were younger. I believe this book should be in everyone's home.
Whether your alone or happily married it brings up a lot of things for discussion to help better your relationship. I also believe young kids should read it there are a lot of good tips in knowing if this would be a good person to date. I wish I had it years ago. I highly recommend Dating Backwards! I found this book to be a great source of information.

Having been widowed and not dating for YEARS, it has given me guidance in regards to searching for a new life partner. Many times when reading the book I saw myself - whether it was discussing being widowed or being in a toxic one sided relationship. It also gave me insight into "what went wrong" in past relationships.
I will continue to use this book as a handbook as I look for an "extraordinary" life partner. Good material, a wealth of information. I'd recommend it to anybody that is about to start dating again, who is currently dating and to any body wanting to improve on their existing relationship.
