And like any other job, you must have an image, a professional and regulated one. The main argument against a dating ban is the basic human right that have been around for centuries: Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness are essentially the natural rights that are granted to all humans. They have the right to do whatever they want with their dating life because they are humans who should not be restricted. A company has no right to be keeping a love life, an experience, from their idols. They should have the right to experience love, to be normal.
There are many negatives that comes with balancing a relationship with an idol life when you are a rookie. A rookie spends so much time and effort into getting their name out there, working crazy schedules that will grant them at least one second of fame all to make it big. Having such a busy life, makes dating hard. When dating is hard, negativity is the only result. My point is, there is too much riding on rookies for it all to go to waste because of one factor.

A team is a team, everyone needs to put in equal effort and should be focusing on one thing, the team and the career. A relationship can be very distracting and a group should not be distracted, they should be trying to get a foot hold in the industry so they can finally be able to say they made it. Hopefully they have a decent following, know how things work, how to network around and keep your image safe.
They know how to handle the life of an idol and can balance something more in the mix.
TWICE dating ban has been lifted
A company has the legal right to put a dating ban because they are entitled to protect the image they are trying to portray and EVERY idol knows this before signing that contract. Takes away freedom of speech. So if you MAIN argument is that they are human, why is it only dating that is becoming the hot topic? Regardless of anything, we need to be true fans and supporters and send off our idol, when they are ready to date, with positive reinforcement.
An idol is a person who is allowed to love. Therefore, they should be able to date freely.

They should be able to live normally but this is their job, and they have a career they need to take care of before they try to settle down in a relationship. It should to be done when the time is right, when your job allows it, when you have time, when you have majority of your surroundings figured out. This can all be achieved if we keep the hate to ourselves and send nothing but positivity, love and support to the idol who needs it. Send love, not hate because hate is what divides us, hate is what makes us inhuman, hate is what feeds chaos: I want you to leave knowing that it's easy to say dating bans are bad and should not exists but when you're running a business where love and support can be lost in an instant.
I agree companies and fans go to the extreme and sometimes it is taken so far an idol is simply seen as a money machine. Company's defiantly need to treat their artist more humanly. But know an idol's breach of contract comes with a punishment. A good example is Day6's former member Junhyeok. So, a punishment is really not unfair because by law and definition, they were aware and could have chosen to not sign the contract and obey the rules.
They show all the artists lockers, which are all right next to each other. The lockers have a little slit like a post office box, and that immediately screams out to me that those are there so that they can discretely pass notes to each other. The only thing companies don't want is for idols to be caught dating, or to get pregnant, since those are the things that would result in a direct potential loss of profits and group popularity. Unless you are YG where you literally don't allow the boy groups to speak to Blackpink and even have them eat at the cafeteria at different times for that specific purpose lol.
I mean, they are maybe girl group with the most frequent comeback while not everyday you have a dating ban lifted. We can include boy groups too. Nevermind, apparently it already happened. Given that there have been so many idols in the industry, it's a wonder why it hasn't happened already. Or maybe it has but it just never came out to the public. Pretty sure there alot of gay idols who date people of the same-sex they just never go public with it, thats the way it is for alot of asian celebrities where pretty much everyone knows they're gay they just never admitted it.
I know theres a hong kong actor who everyone knows is gay and has even been caught with a boyfriend but hes given the benefit of the doubt because hes never admitted it so crazy fans and anti-lgbt people can keep believing whatever they want.
I know theres idols in very similar situations where they're fans and other people in the industry pretty much know they are but keep it to themselves because Korea is still very conservative regarding these issues. There's an unspoken rule among news outlet to never out gay couples. The most recent I can remember off the top of my head was in when an unnamed news outlet was rumored to out a couple from a top group and said they are prepared to face the lawsuits. Thankfully, the couple's company buried the would-be scandal with the help of another news outlet according to another blind item that year.

How they buried it though, idk. There was a group back in the late 90s, I think, that I had two members dating each other. I can't remember the name of the group for the life of me though. I know there was a korean model who came out as gay back in the day but ended up hanging himself because of the backlash and other problems he was struggling with.
I know thats why Hong Seokcheon is so adamant about appearing on TV and continuing to stay in the spotlight because sadly hes the only openly gay celebrity who is still working and advocating for LGBT rights. They never had a dating ban in the first place! If they just date on the down low they should be fine! If they don't do that stupid stuff that other idols do where they show off identical items on their social media! Or upload pictures to instagram of being at literally the same hiking trail overlooking the same breathtaking view in the same exotic vacation destination.
Man, I hope this leads to some tea spillage of the beef between Jimin and Jungyeon. A lot of people think it stems from something dating related so Honestly if it were true I would be so sad for Jeongyeon theres already been so many instances of crazy ARMYs getting angry at other female celebrities they thought were dating them, I can't imagine the backlash if theres was confirmation. Tbh I don't think we're getting a bts dating scandal anytime soon. I rarely believe Idols when they make statements like this, but tbh the tone of the interview was a lot more serious than what we're used to seeing. The article itself is kinda frowned upon by the fandom too for how it was written, imo it's all too personal, to the point where it's kinda uncomfortable. But despite my displeasure it's still a one on one interview.
Overall I honestly have no doubt they've probably dated others in the industry in the past, hell they might even be hooking up not that that's any of my business. But as things stand they're probably just too busy. I have just started my career as a teacher and Jesus Christ it takes up my WHOLE life, I barely have time to leave the house on the weekend to buy food. Any down time I just want to sleep. It just seems absolutely impossible.
Not saying they might not have the occasional hook up -- they might even have a "fuck buddy" sorry for the lack of a better term but I cannot imagine them having any space in their heads to fully dedicate to someone else.
